Ulalume gets into Olga’s bed while she’s asleep and gets a slapped face in the morning for her trouble. Makfire joins the group as his bear was injured in the night by a zombie animal. It is left with Jedadiah while they go to Stripshire. The welcome they receive is frosty but, unconcerned, they charm their way in and stay the night before heading north-east after Arrun. A few zombies later they find come across Arrun who has been without sleep for days in fear of being attacked. Makfire goes to get his bear while the rest take Arrun back to Stripshire. He tasks them to take a message to Yasif.
Picking up Makfire again they go straight to Yasif in Shadton and from there hack and slash their way through the ants nest.
Quickly felling the Queen the stragglers are mopped up and they wander down the entry way for the nest. A junction intrigues Osgoth who goes to investigate and pokes at a puddle. The grey ooze gets hold and his ass is almost digested but he manages to run and they all meet up at the surface for the mandible payment.
Makfire describes the last unexplored chamber full of eggs and only two worker ants to guard it.
