In The house!
The Misfits are in the house! The paladin and the necromancer go downstairs despite the protests of "wise" monk. They start splattering spiders. Soon the all join in. Thinking that killing the spiders might mean they can all go Gr. Join in. that leaves the entire party in the cellar of a haunted house and, yes, you guessed it. A black noxious cloud starts filling the room. Gr. Legs it for the great outdoors but is soon overcome by the fumes and collapses. Likewise for everyone apart from the paladin and Izual. Then come the children of the night who gnaw away at the helpless adventurers. Cronan soon finds the cunning plan. He dashes upstairs and beats 7 shades out of the concentrating spell caster who was slowly suffocating the Misfits. Although he does not kill him he "mysteriously" succumbs to his wounds and dies. So the party goes to investigate the cellar in safety.
A large sarcophagus seems to grab their attention and it’s contents grab Grasshopper! A plush pillow which he grabs for his own, and christens it by meditating on it. The rest of the party soon manages to find a hidden exit inside the sarcophagus and are soon falling down a hidden shoot and onto the banks of a fast flowing stream with a boat. Grasshopper looses his grip on the pillow and is soon in the freezing stream fighting for his life and pillow! He then gets attacked by a ginormous pike! The monk is fatigued by the noxious cloud and is sinking to his death. He manages to muster his last few ounces of sanity and (temporarily) lets go of the pillow and gives the pike the what-for. Exhausted he makes it onto the river bank and surprisingly manages to retrieve his pillow! Lost, mortally wounded, cold and hungry this monk is. But not alone! He has his many years of hardy monk-training to fall back on, not to mention his pillow! He will be fine!
The rest of the party opt for a more traditional means of transport. The boat houses them all (just about!). The paladin has his fab sparkly armour scratched by the bottom of the house that the stream flows under. Soon they are also in the great outdoors and head towards Glantri on this boat of theirs! But something is burning…
