The ball offers everyone a chance to forget about their troubles if briefly. Everyone (apart from G) mingles with the crowd and makes so valuable (and some very irritating) acquaintances.
G spends a lot of time with the guards. Staying sober proves useful when a large crowd of peasants cause some hassle which the drunken guards have difficulty dealing with. G superior wisdom calms them and sends them on their way. G then attempts to balance on his left ear-lobe on a narrow bridge ledge and ,yes you guessed it, falls in!
After the meal G keeps to himself, shivering and stuffing his pockets with food. Everyone else has a dance and a cool socialising session. It all comes to an end too soon though; the King goes to have a chat with the ambassadors from Denagoth. B + J go to a Glantrian party and eventually get kicked out. Similarly, T pulls an elven cleric chick, that does NOT invite him in for "coffee" so he makes his way back to the barracks where G is already fast asleep. Likewise for L. After getting kicked out of a trendy but lowly party, L finds his way safely to the barracks. Soon B + J get kicked out too and go to get some kip at the barracks.
The next morning the rigours of the day start with the Militia Captain that asked for our help paying us a visit. He reminds us of the desperate situation and we all give out opinion. Finally we decide to invade the Glantrian Embassy and the Captain lends a hand by providing us with anything we need (within reason). He himself, however cannot take part in this as it would cause an almighty war! So once again, the Misfits are trusted, alone, to bring order to chaos (or the other way round).
The plan starts with getting into the embassy and trying to find anything that links it to the plague, as they are our main suspects. So a bunch of off duty guards is targeted and one of them charmed. He will be our way on hopefully. As for our way out, …
