Evangelist, Eshmangelist

L uses a nifty magical artefact he acquired, and instantly reduces one of the attackers to a heap of ashes. Another one legs it and then T seizes the perfect timing for an very appropriate running session. Arrows flying all over the place, some hit L but the both manage to get away. Everyone then meets up in the barracks. Everyone apart for J. The party sets off in search of J. They find her strolling in the markets. With all of us together once more B tells us about the Evangelist that is "healing" people from the plague, so they decide to pay him a visit.

When the Misfits arrive, there is a huge hustle and bustle outside the Evangelist’s house. Since there is no direct fee, they decide to join the queue and soon, one by one they get to spend a few moments in the company of this "healer". Although at first sceptical, everyone feels a temporary healing and strengthening but L and B do not reappear.

G + T + J spend the next hour or so in the middle of the street arguing about what they should do about their missing comrades. Meanwhile, inside the house, L + B get their hands dirty. A ferocious battle takes place with splintered doors, smashed heads, lots of fire etc, and they manage to leg it and L manages to grab a handful of loot for their troubles. It turns out the evangelist although a healing cleric of some sort is a bit of a con man that is relieving gullible, rich people of their worldly possessions. Why they decided to attack L + B and ignore the rest of the party is not entirely clear at this stage. T + G + J are still arguing like children when L + B appear closely chased by some irate clerics. L generously decides to sprinkle (almost!) all the loot all over the place hence delaying his pursuers enough to allow the party to get away once more!

Next day Captain Black interrogates the party. J’s friends from the Glantrian embassy make sure she does not get mind probed so she does not get interrogated. The rest of the party has nothing to hide and so, with confidence in them restored they walk free!

Meanwhile, some emissaries from Denagoth arrive at the Northern gate and claim responsibility for the plague and claim to have the cure for which they are making arrangements to speak to the King of Wendar for. The thieves are too preoccupied with almost going to war with each other and trying too hard to capitalise on the huge bounty on the Misfits’ head.

T + J + B go shopping the ball next day. G picks a fight with a 7’ guard and gets his bottom kicked. Nice to know SOME things do not change.

Friday arrives and the frivolity of the ball (and Ghondar!!) give a well earned respite to the death, cry, woe, and suffering of the plague. Against his better judgement, G goes along too…
