The party meets up! After the usual hugging and kissing they may or may not have taken place, the disbanded thieves guild gets looted! G is released from the guards and heads back to "the house". He returns to find it almost in ruins! They have looted everything! T + B try to haul a gigantic chest over the balcony, while J … nicks some jars with peoples heads in it! Each to their own! L fails to stop the guards and gets locked into a room, which he promptly climbs out of. The chest crashes to the ground below with a gigantic thud but fails to be prised open! The guards make everyone flee in random directions. J, recognising the highly magical chest, relishing what it might be protecting hides and keeps and eye on it.
Eventually the party gets questions by some guards about the trail of chaos and destruction left behind. Especially, some badly charred corpses, slit throats, flying furniture, etc. They fact that they delivered an awesome blow to one of the best organised thieves guilds in town goes un noticed! They manage to bull shit them silly though and are temporarily left alone.
The party splits up again! B goes off to do something weird, L + T + J eventually decide to head back to the pub that was adjacent to the thieves guild – house. G is told nothing so stays in the garrison to meditate.
L + T make little progress. J, however, charms a thieving urchin and commands her to follow Blacktooth – head of the thieves guild (apparently). The initiate thief obeys, temporarily, but fails to deliver. Soon everyone returns to the garrison to sleep and rest. After a brief rest everyone sods off again to do their own thing, making sure to leave the monk out of it again. B works out some, making sure the guards cop an eyeful of his huge, rippling muscles and his deadly prowess with his weapons. They he takes off again on his "private" business. L goes begging in the south quarter. A dastardly plan is forming in his brain that defies belief! T goes to see Cpt. Black – the guard’s captain that seems interested in our "efforts" to combat the plague which seem to have gone off on a tangent. A tangent of apparently mindless destruction! J is off to the Glantrian embassy again. And yes, the monk is left behind. Spot a pattern forming yet? The ideal man, however, is his own best friend and takes delight in privacy. So he walks over some burning hot coals from a near by fire. The other guards stare in amazement, as the soles of his feet don’t even bare any burn marks. This meditation and the recent, amazing display of "mind over body" seems to have increased the prowess and generally experience of the monk (he is now level 2!!!).
A small, inquisitive, flamboyant gnome briefly appears and then, just as suddenly, vanishes again.
Soon however, everyone returns to the barracks. Apart from J. She is missing too long. T + G set off to find her, against their better judgement. L, having successfully (almost) infiltrated a thief’s guild, enquires from his new "friends" about her whereabouts’. He is pointed to the north. As is T +G. near the north side of the city, however, G’s healthy fear of death decides to head towards the barracks again and warns T about the huge dangers looming in the north, especially since there is a hefty bounty on our heads.
T valiantly ignores the dangers and heads north. There he is ambushed and surrounded. 2 well armed fighter-type people in front of him, 2 behind and some people with crossbows from an elevated position. He has beaten worse odd before though, and after spotting a "begging" L that winks at him from afar, he decides to ………… (continued)
In brief
The trail of destruction left behind by the Misfits is second only to the plague itself. A wiser "town" would opt for the plague rather than the Misfits! The guards of this town have difficulty coming to terms with it.
The misfits each go about doing their own thing, until they notice J has not given signs of being alive for a while.
Also a painfully familiar gnome briefly appeared. Could it be? Our leader has returned? Will Thanodel live long enough to meet him? Will Jutiapa?
